9th Division Hall of Zanpakutous

In this hall all 9th Division members will proudly display their Zanpakutou for all to see. Once posted the Zanpakutous will be reviewed, and if all requirements are met, they will then be accepted. All accepted Zanpakutou wielders will then gain the right to a training session with Raine-Taichou to achieve their Shikai, enabling them to use their mentioned abilities in official battles.

Zanpakutou's Sealed Form Appearance:
Zanpakutou's Property: "Dark" Fire and Ice
Shikai Release Command: The initial release is "Powers which are used to heal, turn to hurt..." ~ Naoru no tame chikara, itamu ni nare!
Shikai Appearance: Shadows accompany large black chains as they erupt from the ground; the shadows enveloping Raine as the chains bind her Zanpakutou levitating in front of her. Two large scaly claws break through and pull the sword back down with them into the abyss they created. As the claws disappear the shadows disperse and reveal Raine in a new outfit... made of the finest black and teal silk, embroidered with pure white and obsidian thread...
Using 2 other commands she is able to summon her Shikai weapons.
~ Searing Contrition - "The candle's light meant to soothe, become the flame to sear!" ~ Rousoku no hikari nadameru no kako, kogasu no kaen ni nare!
Summons Mournbringer's red/fire head to burst forth through the ground and bestow upon her this flaming long sword imbued with its' own powers, forged from its' left fang.
~ Searing Contrition - "As droplets of life giving rain become unforgiving shards of ice!" ~ Inochi no shouteki ame ageru ni kizutsuite hijouna koori no katara ni nare!
Summons Mournbringer's white/ice head to burst through the ground and bestow upon her this frozen axe imbued with its' own powers, forged from its' right fang.
*Either summon can be performed separately, or in dire situations, simultaneously.
Shikai Passive Abilities:
~ Searing Contrition's (Boiling Point) - As a sword engulfed in a dragon's flame SC is always giving off vast amounts of heat. This effects the temperature of the nearby area, raising it to near scorching heats depending on its' wielder's intentions as they control the size/intensity of its' flames. Though its' true ability occurs if the blade comes in touch with an opponent's skin. As expected it will burn the afflicted area; not the skin however... but the enemy's reiatsu, burning and essentially "eating" it up. The effects of the burn depend on the wielder's strength as well as their opponent's.
~ Icy Admonition's (Absolute Zero) - As a sword engulfed in a dragon's eternal frost IA is always giving of a sub-zero chill. This effects the temperature of the nearby area, lowering it to near freezing depending on its' wielder's intentions as they control the intensity of its' frost. Though its' true ability occurs if the blade comes in touch with an opponent's skin. As expected it will cause a form of frostbite around the afflicted area; not the skin however... but the enemy's reiatsu, freezing it and essentially slowing its' flow to the stricken area. The effects of the frostbite depend on the wielder's strength as well as their opponent's.
Shikai Active Abilities:
~ Searing Contrition's (Dissolute Conflagration)
Command - "Blazing fire... My penitence."
The flames covering SC flare up and jump from the blade to the ground creating a living, raging fire serpent indifferent to moral restraints as well as physical ones. It typically coils around the ground with Raine in the center, acting as a somewhat living shield. The serpent can extend outward, as if a snake striking, and retract at Raine's will. Her spiritual pressure controlling the intensity of its' flames and its' movements governed by her sword.
- When Raine slashes the serpent's tail acts as a whip, following the sword's path
- When she lunges, thrusting the sword straight out, the serpent strikes out at the opponent
- By sweeping her blade from side to side the serpent lets loose a breath of fire
~ Icy Admonition's (Glacial Assault)
Command - "Crystalline water... My admonishment."
Raine raises IA and summons large glaciers to burst through the earth, sometimes right underneath her enemies. These jagged ice forms can be added to or taken away from as Raine sees fit, the more reiatsu she uses the faster she is able to crystallize new forms. The name of this shikai comes from the fierce combination of her summoning the glaciers and hacking away at them with IA. In doing so she creates thousands of dagger like ice shards which can be used in an all out assault on her enemy, IA able to send them out in waves.
Bankai Release Command: "Beauty and innocence destroyed effortlessly... Darkness, my new solace, rise from the ashes and allow me to do unto others as fate has done to me! Awaken, Mournbringer!" ~ Tayasuku nakusareta bi to keppyaku... yami, boku no shinnagusame, hai kara tatte, ummei wa boku ni kizutsuite shita, boku wa minna ni kizutsuite yurusase! Okire, Itamu no motarasu Ken!
Bankai Appearance: The earth quakes as darkness bursts forth through rifts in the ground as Mournbringer ascends to the earth's surface, each of its' heads roaring and hissing. All the while Raine is standing perfectly still before it, plagued by her past... To her right a young lady is seen standing holding Searing Contrition. It's Raine as a human, before her brutal death; her beautiful innocence. On her left stands a slightly older, battle hardened Raine splattered in blood holding Icy Admonition. This is her early Shinigami state where all innocence had been lost after seeking revenge for her painful death. Finding only sorrow in bloodshed Raine had grown jaded and confused, turning to darkness for solace...
Mournbringer lowers its' heads to where the 3 figures are standing and the main (dark) head speaks. "In the way that something so beautiful is made to bleed because of a pain that it does not deserve. It's fragile and strong at the same time, breathtaking because of the sorrow it withstands..." Just then the ice and fire elemental heads strike and devour their respective weapon, and the figments holding them, whole. The main head speaking once more "Go now and forget the light that has forsaken you. My darling beautiful, bleeding black rose... take this sword and continue on your journey to admonishment." A black rose sprouts from the ground and grows into her bankai weapon, the Bleeding Black Rose AKA The Angel Wing Razor.
This dark sword's long, thin blade is not made from angels' wings; rather, it was honed on them-on the wings of dead and captive celestials. Sharpened the edge to an impossibly fine edge. The sword itself is constructed of black adamantine with a solid obsidian hilt. The blade though long and thin possesses various protruding ridges on it. On the hilt the cross-guard's ends are barbed and curl inward toward the blade. The grip is the result of the cross-guards' entwining upward, swirled together until they reach the pommel. The pommel itself is pure bloodstone, which has been sculpted in the likeness of an open rose.

Due to Raine's unique "creation" her Zanpakutou was created for her by her Master Aizen to be just as unique. Not only for the beauty he wished to preserve in her poetic violence and skills weilding a katana, but also bearing in mind this weapon must take on dual roles as a Shinigami's weapon as well as her Espada blade. To ensure her success Aizen crafted her artificial Zanpakutou using his own blade Kyōka Suigetsu or "Mirror Flower Water Moon" for its base. The name hints at its illusionary properties; the moon reflected in water and a flower in a mirror are things that can be seen but not held. (It is a Chinese saying for seeing and desiring something that is a dream that cannot be easily grasped in hand, teaching people about temptations.) Though she isn't fully able to tap into the blade's full potential she can use the illusionary effects to hide her true identity as the 2nd Espada.
